Just came back from seeing this wonderful Dutch born classical musician, Andre Rieu & the Johann Strauss Orchestra in concert. What a wonderful experience it was... fun for all ages. I was lucky in that this artist does allow the audience to take photographs, and I was even lucky to have had seats in the 2nd row!
This is what Andre has to say about his violin... "In my life I’ve played a number of beautiful violins, but my present instrument is the best of all! It was built in 1667 by Antonio Stradivarius, undoubtedly the best and most famous violin builder of all times. He built this violin when he was 23 years old, in the year when he married. He must have been very much in love at that time, and sometimes I imagine that his betrothed was a very beautiful girl and that he built this violin especially for her. He may even have built it to celebrate her qualities, who knows? The sound of the instrument is so romantic, loving and warm!" Kind of reminds me of the movie, The Red Violin... a great movie if you haven't seen it yet!

WOW.........I LOVE this man, he is sooo GOOD! Lucky you! And this is an awesome photograph, surely one to be treasured. Beautiful image, and with a wonderful expression on his face as well. Love the softly lit musicians in the background as well.

This is an excellent stage shot my dear Brigitte. You have captured the man's mood beautifully, he is enjoying his music and entertaining the audience. The tones are amazing, your pof is perfect and the setailing excellent, well done to you. The 'about' is so very interesting and I will try to catch that film. I love all the great violin concertos and although my first love is the piano the sheer passion from a violin is so wonderful. A great big HUUUUUUG and my very best wishes to you as always.......Ray
