Actually I was far away from the lightning, so I had to zoom on it (55mm) and crop a little bit. I don't know the time between the lightening and the thunder, because I used the camera in bulb mode, so I opened the shutter, I was waiting for the lightening, and then closed the shutter with a wireless remote control. So in this case the thunder didn't matter. At this photo the shutter time was 19secs.

Wow, amazing capture.... I would hate to the the target of any bolt like this, but especially the fierce looking double bolt on the right! Wow! How close were you to the lightening? How many seconds between when the lightening was seen and the thunder was heard? 7/7
