muxus querida

What a pity again that the panoramic upload didn't save the image in its big size. Sigh! Anyway, even on the normal sized image one has a very interesting and well balanced composition. Almost classical in its three zones with a person disrupting their flow which would have been too regular otherwise. The sitting person is quite perfectly placed on the image for me.

The three different zones are all well captured and present their different textures nicely. Perhaps the sea is a bit too dark on some areas but even this brings good tension against the other two zones that are lighter.

What I find also so amazing here is the color palette itself. Trying to understand what makes it so familiar and at the same time strange I adjusted the levels for maximum contrast and so I realized that the blue light hues are missing. Expanding them the image turns almost perfect B&W!! Which is remarkable to me, since it seems that it is exactly this missing light blue hues that provide the subtle solor effect. How did you manage to get that?

The DoF together with the nice composition supprts very well the sense for distance. Still it could also be thought as flat, as if the person would be sitting in front of a wall with those textures when one concentrates on the background for a longer time. So we have another kind of tension here.

Classical but also with many things to find out in its clear composition. Very good shot.

Simplistic composure with minimalistic components Malules. The lone figure staring out to sea, the lone boat, the far off coastline merging into the busy clouded skyline and altogether a wonderfully balanced composition. Another excellent piece of photography my good friend. Best wishes always......Ray
