Thanks a lot for the info, Saad!

Such a container would be surely good. About cameras themselves, weather proof is not necessarily also sand and dust proof. My T90 survived some hour under snow after crashing down from a mount but I wouldn't use it without some protection in such a storm. The lens could be the first part that suffers from scratches by the flying particles. And the other thing is that dust and finest sand can stick on the camera while being unnoticed. Then, next time you turn the focus ring, you hear what happens. ;-)

Cheers!

Nick

you are welcome Friend,
I do not know about the plastic,
but for sure there is some containers for all cameras to use under water ,that could be of help, and one thing more, for canon, the pro series, the L series I mean are all weather proof, this for sure,
also the professional cameras are are weather proof,at least for three minuets,
my best wishes,
Saad.

Thanks a lot for the info, Saad!

So, even if one doesn't have any asthma or allergy, the camera could still be damaged. I suspected that...

Any ideas about how to protect our gear from that? Plastic bags would be perhaps an option? I am asking becauce I would find it such a pity to not take advantage of such extraordinary situations for a shot because if potential dangers for camera ans lens.

Cheers!

Nick

yes Nick, for you if you have asthma,or some allergy,
and for the camera, fine dust may go in between the different layers of the barrels of the lens, especially if it is not weather sealed,
my regards,
Saad.

It was a good idea, Saad! Very special in appearance! BTW, can it get dangerous to shoot under a sand storm?

Cheers!

thank you my friend for the detailed input,it is a weird colors due to the dust, and it is really dusty,if there is no dust I have not shoot it,but for the truth, the idea was in my mind months and hesitated to do it,until the dust came,so I do it without the bird, and one abstract, and this one,
cheers,
Saad.

I find the monochromatic palette very well matching the "half" composition full of sudden, almost violent cuts, Saad. The walls and facades of the buildings act like parts of a machine rather than real walls. It makes the impression to me that we have parts of a machine that move towards each other and will fit perfectly together, leaving no space for the pidgeon on its flight. There are good details on the wall in the front but in this case they are only sub-characteristics of an image that looks best as a whole. The motion blur of the pidgeon does add tension of something flexible against the solid walls.

If this would have a normal lighting and color palette it wouldn't be as interesting as it is now. But under these conditions it got a very modern attitude that doesn't say anything about the storm itself. I would rather take it into the abstracts for its quite vague sense of claustrophoby.

Cheers!

a dust storm is becoming so frequent Ania,it attacked about ten times since February, and some times you can not see through it at all, this is a medium one,and you have seen its true color.
and really I wish I could edit it as Mesut suggest,
thank you Ania,
