Magnificently strong piece!
Society is always structured around faith in an inexchangable concept. Money only has value when all the participants have faith that it does. It is no longer exchangable for precious metal, ironically a substance which itself is precious only because of our faith in it. Before money ruled society we had God; a being endowed with infinite powers by us, his creator. Poor God, senteced to an existence based purely on faith; poor God, endowed with all the powers in the universe and completly unable to use them for risk of offering proof.
What will be next in the great god and money trilogy? When people stop believing in money, what will start believing in?

Helpful tips and hints about coins: If a coin has been bathed in acid or scrubbed with an abrasive, it is likely ruined and cannot be saved. Oh well, for the sake of art... Lovely abstract.
