Nice piece of artwork, jacques.

When I first saw the thumbnail, I thought it was a wheat field, a familiar but abstract image. What appears to be soft shadows on the diagonal creates a nice bit of depth.

Regards,

Bill

You are very welcome, Jacques.

But "kind" (in the sense of compliments) I am really not. I only say what I see.

Cheers!

Nick

the shadow are from the window just side to the sand stone... don't forget it's an exhibition, full of metal framed, structure, lamps... nothing easy to control in this place :)

It attracted my attention already as a thumb for the string geometric patterns, Jacques! The homologue curves, that kind of complex mapping.... it is like functions theory at its best. And the discontinuities and "knotes" in the top left quadrant... I think that they provide a place for the eye to "rest" before starting to twist around again.

The texture of the sand fits very well the coloring. These two things, texture and tonal range, seem to have defined the complex plane on which function theory can be studied. A good example for good composition that doesn't neglect but also doesn't boost too strongly.

Very well done!

Nick
