The stairs symbolize for reaching to higher positions/pursuits and the gate ways in the ground pull us down. The conflict is best solved by doing away with the gate ways down and that is spiritual.

Excellent depth to this intense richly toned composition sweetie. The gardener toiling away in the distance gives us a sense of the scale. I am torn between this and the mono version. I love how the textures appear in the attachment but the colours of the main posting are just wonderful Well done to you my dear Bubai. Another great big HUUUUUG and more best wishes.....Ray

Good string coloring, and the sky is almost complementary to the walls. The details came up pretty well too so that the wall appears so tangible in all its old textures. I think that the exposure balance was quite right here.
The composition is also well balanced - perhaos including all the structure around the door at the top of the stairs could bring something more. About the inclusion of the far background at the left, I don't know. It provides definitely some more depth and makes the size of the wall and stairs more "understandable". On the other hand and only as an additional idea, leaving it off image could enhance the "ancient-like" atmosphere. (Attachment.)
