(الحدباء) The Hunchback is an other name of my city,it was called after this minaret,that was starts to bend to a degree it could fall,an Italian company took the restoration process of filling the whole minaret with strengthening materials,that was at the eighties,the age of this hunchback is 800 year,its hight is 56 m.it is the highest building in Mosul,there is an official law ,that no building should be built higher,the shot was taken using 11.5 X zoom,from 1.5 Km distance. it is the trade mark of Mosul,the old Nineveh.
Harry,it seems that you have seen my personal photo at my Bio, the Iraqi government have brought the same company that is responsible of restoration of Pisa tower for the restoration of the Hunchback,with sever conditions of not touching the outer shape,and not to remove or damage a single brick from the minaret,those two domes you see are belonging to an other two mosques that are between me,and the hunchback, thank you so much for the interest, my best regards, Saad.

The D300 and Nikkor 18-200DX VR are in good hands, hands used to work with precision, so I love the good result with the hunchback.
