Yes, certainly after sharpening size increase dramatically.
450kb is max but I always take below 400 kb. Size measurement on my pc and that on UF differs a bit.

Hi Michele,I have save your shot to my computer,it was 540*359,UF server allow only up to 850*850 images,AND NOT MORE THAN 400Kbit FILE SIZE,this is very important,if the file size is larger than 400 Kbit,the server will reject the upload,so the best for you is to resize the shot to 850*850 and LOOK TO ITS SIZE THAT SHOULD BE LESS THAN 400 Kbit,my regards,

What a wonderful golden yellow leaf display my dear Michele with those tiny touches of blue sky peeking through occasionally. Beautiful rich tones with sightings too of the branches and limbs of the tree. Well done to you sweetie.
I wish I could help you resolve this posting problem you have. I know that I have encountered it in the past and I managed to resolve without really knowing how I did. I have perfected my own peculiar way of preparing shots using a combination of CS2 and Windows XL. Brigitte has given good advice and I echo her thoughts and hope it helps. Hi Brigette- Thank You so much for your time to try to help me with my posting problems - I have never had this problem until I got a new computer it seems altho some images that are less busy I have no problem with - the other thing is UF will not down size my images anymore - soooo I could have a wierd program problem - (?) My latest idea was that I needed to compress my images - I've been here 4 yrs now and no problems soooooo ...maybe it's me just missing a step somewhere getting too familiar (?)
I really appreciate your time and effort to help me - Your truely a friend - and also for your great comment - I hadn't thought of this image as an abstract but it certaily could be :-))

Hi Michelle, very lovely fall foliage. Love the fullness of the tree... getting in close like that makes it almost a natural abstract... the lighting here is great!
As far as the photo resizing and uploading. I haven't had that problem because I resize my photos before uploading to no more than 1024x900 or so. Then it is resized down a little by UF before it's uploaded to the server. Here's what it says at the top of the page when you go to Upload an image:
"A JPG image is required and must use the extension ".jpg". File must not exceed 400k in size, and be at least 400 pixels wide and 400 pixels tall. Images with pixel dimensions larger than 850 x 850 will be resized, and some quality loss may occur. Note: Panoramic image may be any size as long as it meets the panoramic size criteria.."
Hope this helps. As an afterthought, I don't know if UF is having problems, because I've noticed several uploaded photos that seemed smaller than usual to me, maybe it's just a bug. You're the first one to mention a problem with it and I don't recall you having problems with it before.
