Bill: I was just going through some comments from the last month or so. I'm so sorry I missed your comment before. I really appreciate this advice. I'm going to take it too and I did ask for help because I do want it. Thank you again. Renee ......What I'm going to say here .. you will first reject. It's just you and I talking .. ok? ..... And I say all this cuz I've been there.
First .. dont let the newspaper photographers influenceyou I know ..they have told you a thing or two.... but they are working for the paper .. GET THE IMAGE.... is their goal. Style and background are not the issue with them. The second thing here is you dont have to shoot everything with 400 speed film. You lose alot of quality at times. Drop down to 200 or even 100. Take your time and hold still and squeeze the shot off. If you are shooting 400 .. then processing is critical. Do you do your own .. or does the paper do it. Before you say " who the heck is this guy" .. I'm trying to help you become better. Thats what you ask ed in your bio. So..try to let go of the newspaper style .. and develope your own..... you will see .. and you will grow.... Light is what gives us the Images ... use it to reflect onto your outdoor portraits. . Try using 100 speed color film ... you will be amazed.
