Just got my copy of September Digital photo and there's an article explaining that Bokeh is the Japanese word for fuzziness and that the more circular and softer the pinpoints of light in the background are the better the bokeh of the lense.....the straighter and sharper the polygons are the poorer.Useful magazine!

ahh Ok not being a Pentax user I wouldn't know the Carl Zeiss 45mm on the Hassleblad however does a pretty fine job too I can say

From what I've read on Pentax forums some lenses are more highly rated than others because of a more pleasing Bokeh.Aperture selection is obviously a key factor too.In this shot the lense was wide open to get the out of focus effect I wanted.

Right!I'd definately recommend the Pentax 50-200,the bokeh it gives is excellent-as in this shot where you can just make out the rider with the hat
