About It's all about light again. I was very surprised to see that sudden change of luminosity on the top center. Anybody any odeas what that might be? Looks like a shadow to me, but how die that came? Any comments would be very welcome.

And I assume that this is why we are surprised of them when they are caught on some image during their short duration. Then the short duration is extended to "infinity", so to speak, and the formerly unnoticed phenomenon stands there right in front of our eyes.

Cheers!

As you say, they are of short duration. Whatever it was, different optical densities, shadows, reflections, they didn't last long enough to be amenable to our curiosity.

Thanks a lot for the nice comment and even more for the help on the strange effect, Nuno.

Well, different densities in gases do not have such sharp boundaries in nature. One can produce them in the laboratory but even there they are of extremely short duration. Cloud layers... perhaps. But I'd rather tip on some kind of reflection too.

Cheers!

Different contents and densities of air may account for that effect on reflection of light.
The idea of water amid land as a road is well portrayed here.

I find the other one much better, Aziz. But thanks a lot for the nice comment!

Cheers!

Omitting direct light of the sun shows better and positive impact. Light reflection is beautiful.
