Michelle thank you so much for the thougt provoking words and advice! I do agree, I think there's too much contrasty look to it. I'm definately needing more practice! Thanks for looking and helping me:)

Very nice .B I think you've done a great job on a first trial portrait - I know nothing about portraits but what I like and don't so that is all I can tell you ...

I like the crop and I like the light but think maybe the contrast is a bit much - just a bit tho - I don't think most would do well with this lighting but for your model it works for me- I think a few more tones in-between B&W would work better-
You've captured the models eyes beautifully and her expression -
I will leave the rest for one who honestly knows what they are talking about technically - but to view this image is very , very good in my opinion !
Bravo - you should be very proud .
