nice idea for the composition! great job!

Since i was disagreeable that lost a bet, and if i lost my own all money i became impossible to return to Japan, so that I did not go in Macao to a casino. hahaha! lol

I think that the alley in Hong Kong and Macao and a busy confused atmosphere are very much good.

I think about that too since my first comment, Harry. It also seems to have something of the atmosphere of "The picture of Dorian Gray" for me. One of the images that get denser and denser the more I look.

Cheers!

" I would like to add that the old photography of the woman that he is painting adds also some sense of a "documentary within a documentary". I can't describe that differently but I hope you got what I mean. "

Yes, I understand what you mean. Have to think about it. Idea is good.

Yeah, and also photographing, that is! The one is painting what the other is capturing, and I find the way you gave the main focus to the painting terrific, Harry! It is not the maker that stands in emphasis but rather his work, and the painted portrait starrs back to me in a very special way. Still the dedication of the painter is quite tangible, and the many small details of his skilled hands add some very intimate, I would say, touch. It's quite a direct way to see the results of his dedication while he is painting.

I would like to add that the old photography of the woman that he is painting adds also some sense of a "documentary within a documentary". I can't describe that differently but I hope you got what I mean.

Somesmall minus points, like the cut at the top, do not really disturb that much. Usual subject, perhaps, but with many subtle details that make it more special.

Cheers!

Nick
