Let me first say that I love this photo!
Sharing your love of wide angles, I also often use a foreground and strong diagonals in creating my images, although of course I do not claim that they resemble yours in any other way, certainly not quality! However, I also love panoramas, and I think that cropping close under the bridge would both create a beautiful panorama and also strengthen the impression of the bridge itself. If you were a donor you could also upload a much larger panoramic image that would better show the amazing quality of that 43mm Mamiya lens, surely one of the best in the world!
