Thanks a lot for the detailed comment once again, Visar, and especially for mentioning that the composition, as it is now, didn't do much harm. I can only be glad for the fact that I had the luck, sometimes, to more or less get the right composition. You see, back in those times, I didn't really had so much concerns about that.
The lighting indeed seems to have worked nicely. It's been just taking two spot meterings on the highlights and one spot metering on the brown part of one of the plants. (Don't exactly remember which one. :-( ) And of course it was good luck too, since the sunlight hit only the white tops of the plants but not the rest of them. For just a few seconds it was having the good luck, and of course in such cases you just grab it, because if you wait a bit more... all is gone then!
Remember the old good song by The Who?
"Is it me for a moment?... for a moment"
I guess now that it fits what we do so perfectly! For a moment, just a moment, the light wants you! Strange thing that it changes its mind so quickly! ;-)
Cheers!
Nick

well, first of the credits go to the close observation of light Nick- and then technical realisation- which definitely is greatly handled for you have preserved something that is really hard- and yet exposed much of the surrounding- just properly!
the composition works fine; perhaps, as you point out, moving a bit more to the left an balance it on the sides would have been a better idea- though, even the so called failiures, in cases as such do not really disturb or come on the way to presenting the gorgeousness of light, like you have captured here!
really great, v.

Thanks a lot once agaon, Vandi!
As a composition it has one problem though. I should turn a bit to the left for not cutting the plants at the left edge. Oh well... next time! :-D
Cheers!
