The perspective is really nice, Dan. I do agree that some cropping is needed, but maybe not as severe as your crop. I think it would be more useful to leave in the lower part of the left side of the tree to help create more of a natural frame. A little contrast work might help too. I've attached a quick example of what I mean.

you found nice subject but its a bit busy with lots of things. it was bettet that you cropped frome the sculpture that makes attention to the main subject.

i think you're right about the crop and I've attached a different version - horizontally cropped - which I think is more effective.
Had a play with B&W and also sepia but I really like the green in this shot too much.

i think this would look better if it wasnt croped so tight on the right also would like to see it in B/W.
Only my opinion and sure many will disagree :)
