Back in NY dear Dan, couldn't get a ticket to detour my trip to visit you :( Next time I guess ;) Didn't know NZ was called "the land of the long white cloud", I learned something new today :) Big hug and kiss my friend. Julie.

I also limit vertical size of panoramics to less than 850 pixels, Dan. So it's unlikely that this is the problem. I guess that the image has to "satisfy the requierments of size of a panoramic" as UF says. Now, if I only knew what those requirments are. :-/ Something about the ration width/height, but what I don't know exactly what.
Cheers!
Nick

Yeah, not sure, it worked for my other shot which was bigger than this, so not sure. I made sure they where no bigger than 850 high. maybe that was it?

Yes it is ok dear Ania, not the most exciting city. But it does have some nice spots, most of them you can see in a couple of days. You should come and see NZ at some stage, it is very beautiful

Thank you very very much for the additional details about the shot, Dan! I must say, how good that you were there right when the sun came through the clouds!
Todayx I tried to post a panoramic image, but it didn't work, though it did always work until now. Well, maybe a problem of relative dimensions not meeting the panorama criteria.
But it is indeed a good thing to have.
Cheers!

Thank you so much Nick, no this was no result of IR, yes it was a very bright sunlit day this day, with loads of glare, the effect is definately the result of the sun appearing through the clouds, it was the perfect time to take the shot with less glare. Yes I wasn't aware of the Pano capability of usefilm so was a little annoyed with one of my other posts that I reduced to 850 pixels wide, oh well I know now, so will be posting more panoramas for sure.

Thanks heavens for the panoramic capability of the UF, Dan! The normal size image is already so attractive for the many details under that light, but the panoramic lets its breath its own air! It is then that I can sit and just take the visual journey between the buildings and the trees, while the atmosphere remains so blue/green.
I find the look and feel of the horizontal zones of color very well fitted for such a panoramic landscape, and more than that I find the associated light very interesting on this one. The sky seems to be loaded with electricity while tha land seems to be under strong sunlight. Was the sun perhaps just finding its way through some hole in the layer of clouds? Or is it the result of IR? Anyway the light is unique!
Another thing is the enhancement of distance by the two planes of the earth/sea and of the clouds. They act like two reference layers between which the image was taken.
Very good work!
Nick

Always a lot of density in the clouds like this in Auckland dear Julie ;-). New Zealand is not called the land of the long white cloud for nothing.
Who is Olean and are they good looking, ha ha ha.
FYI - Maybe during your vacation you can take a detour here then my dear friend.
Hugs and Kisses, Dan
