Yes you are right with the caldera....it is a volcanoe but also an island:)
I was there only for one day cause we did a cruise,but it was not the last time.So sorry to hear that you had no luck with your hotel.I know some very good ones.If you want to go one more time just ask me:))!

hmm I thought Santorini was a caldera.. ie the entire island and the other little bits around it, are the remnants of a huge volcanoe.. our visit there was spoilt by a crummy hotel.. a long way away from most of the views.. and the buses.. insane but yeah Paros Mykonos and especially Crete I would return to

Thanks so much that you bring me one of the my youngest years memories. Beautiful Santorini. When I was 18 I was a candidate officer in commercial navy. I was there with a cruising ship. But my feet never touched. Being there. But looking from distance.
Perfect shot in classic Aegean style. High level clarity and sharpness. Very good white balancing with warm tones of SAntorini Island.

Yes Mehul,I did a cruise through the Mediterranean!!I saw a lot of beautiful countries...and the most beautiful island Santorini in Greece!!Everything is white,the domes are blue and it looks amazing agains the blue sky!!

No, I unfortunately have never been there, but I have seen many pictures, especially yours which really tempts the viewer to visit this heavenly place. It looks magic.
The weather is a bit too warm, but bearable. I was hoping for it to rain today, but alas. I think I must migrate to the North Pole in the summer :)

Yes we saw soccer yesterday evening,nobody was outside..LOL,I was going with Sam at the half time from the match and you could see that everybody was there with their dogs too..but very quick..so funny!! I'm glad for Spain it was very well deserved!!

Yes you are right I did a cruise through the Mediterranean Sea! I saw Dubrovnik, Katakolon, Corfu, Santorini, Malta, Kusadasi (Turkey), Sicily and Rome where we stayed for four more days. Just great!!!!! Very hot though) Indeed Santorini was my favorite place, so very beautiful and quiet. The buildings are all white and than the domes (and they have a lot from them) are all blue!! It looks fantastic against the blue sky!! Your photographer heart is very lucky…LOL!! And to left this beautiful island is indeed very hard :). With the camera I had first also my problems with the colors but I think that I managed this now. I still have to learn with this camera because is very different from my Canon. Some settings are not as they have to be, that I saw here at home by some pictures. I have still problems with portraits; the background is good in focus but not the person. When I have more persons they are not very sharp. I guess that something with my settings is wrong. Hope that it will work soon

It is soooooo beautiful and quiet!! I'm sure you would love it too!!Everything is white and the domes are all from this fantastic blue!!!The food is excellent and the people are very kind!! Because I did a cruise I only stayed one day there but it is worth to stay one week!!!!

What a magical place! It looks STUNNING! I must go there! Beautiful photograph, Nicole, but I would suggest cloning out the highlight on the left dome... it detracts from the beautiful exposure in the rest of the image. I've done it below, hope you don't mind. A 7 from me.
