No tweeking of the saturation Roger, this is just as it came from the scanner. Maybe it's the late arvo light.

Thanks Gary, actually the trees are probably indigenous but the ground is covered by introduced weeds !

Ok Saad, I found this (glad you asked actually !):

"The Yarra River was called Birrarrung meaning "Place of Mists and Shadows" by the Wurundjeri tribe."

Birrarrung is a place name (actually the name of a park) so it's unlikely to be in a dictionary.

Actually, if you had a dictionary of Australian Aboriginal words you might find it !

thank you very much for the tip.I am very interested in reading about the native people of Australia and very glad to hear about the decision your new prim minster done regarding raising their children by their own mothers. thank you again and hope to see an other post about them, best of me Saad.

G'Day Wayne not sure about the strength of the colours in this shot.. they seem a tad rich, but I do love the confusion of branches esp in the centre distance, nicely resolved landscape

It's an Australian Aboriginal word, Saad. It's the name of this place, which probably hasn't changed in appearance much since it was first named. I like the painting-like quality of this image, Wayne. Reminds me of a Fred McGubbin.
Regards, Gary
