Nipping and biting, I think both aren't nice to me, but then I am quite scared of horses, although my daughter is riding for over 10 years, I still can't get used to this sudden change of personality of these huge animals....she is in jumping and dressuur competitions, I can hold her horse, but thats about all...lollll

Horses are for me the most difficult animals to capture dear Paul, although I live between them for over 10 years, I still have probs getting them right in my lens.....they always seem to move the wrong way, ears backwards (doesnt sound good, does it;) I love the stories though behind my own shots..lolll Thought these 2 were going to fight as they often do, but this was playtime..lucky for me......:)
I think I should live in a zoo...might be the right place..huge zoo! Be well tonight, xxJen

What a brilliant shot Jen. Fantastic !!
Perfect timing such expressing a wonderful and magic communication between these living creatures clearly showing their particular character and temperament.
Very nice colours, excellent composition as framed with a "connecting" wooden fence and perfectly distributed trees as a natural background.
Great observation Jen, this shot shows me once more : you are a real master in getting a message through as only a gifted artist does this so brilliantly.

It makes me happy to make you happy my sweet Marian, I see them 3 times a week mostly as my
daughter is obsessed with them and riding,
also have her jumping and dressuur competitions,
and me being scared...lolll

Me and animals....thats where I feel best with dear Julie:))
I have been framing around 50 shots today and if I look at them, animals definately give me most pleasure:)) I can be so more patient with those
then with people, although we had lessons in
portrait photography as well, I do well with a good model, but still:))
Give me the sea and animals, totally happy!!

That might have caused the problem, no female around to play with:)) They were running behind each other, trying to pull of each others blankets, biting tails, it scared me but according to my daughter its all in the game...;))

Its amazing what different faces they showed my
sweet Nicki, the white one did the same, I was
quite obsessed by the way they played, in a very
nice way;)) Even biting each others tails and pulling their blankets off, spectaculair!
Well, at least I am happy not being confused in
my mind with dates...loll And of course I do
understand there is a lot to arrange, specially
with your mom just being home...
Its windy and cold here now, but will be great to have some sun tomorrow, for you too!!

For me horses are more difficult to shoot then most other big animals, still wondering why..they seem to move and show the wrong sides to me, knowing I'm scared:))
I was quite happy with this couple playing around, even biting each others tails, really great fun!!

Because my daughter is horseriding since she was 5, I went with her all the time, so you could say I have been brought up with them, but still scared..lolll

Yes you are right I'm leaving only next Saturday,but the next week I don't have much time for UF.A lot of preparations to do,for the job,at home for the trip and I have to go and help my mother.It goes better bit she can't go for the next two weeks.Then the time is running..:)))!!!

A very funny moment.
Also a great photo in that it shows the horses in an unusual and unexpected way. Perfect positioning of the main subjects. The background is colourful yet not intrusive, with the subtler colours echoing the horses. The background also has a nice abstract countryside feel to it.

A horse whisperer is a horse trainer who adopts a sympathetic view of the motives, needs, and desires of the horse, based on natural horsemanship and modern equine psychology. The term goes back to the early nineteenth century when an Irish horseman, Daniel Sullivan, made a name for himself in England by rehabilitating horses that had become vicious and intractable due to abuse or accidental trauma. The term may go back farther than that, as the April 2008 Scientific American quotes itself from an 1858 issue containing a reference to "D. Sullivan, ... grandson of the celebrated 'Sullivan, the Whisperer' ", which could place the term somewhat earlier.
Sullivan kept his methods secret, but people who managed to observe him noticed that he would stand face to face with the troubled horse. They seemed to think that he must be saying something to the horse in a way the horse could understand and accept because the horses were quickly gentled by his mysterious techniques.
These two might solve their probs themselves,
or is it just having these gossips between horses;))
