I like the sliding distortion here, as well as the way the face emerges from the whiteness; both of these aspects work to make it feel magical or unreal. The sly expression is enhanced as well. Great sharpness and clarity keeps it from getting too mystical, as the eyelashes look spot-on-real. Fascinating portrait.
