A friend of mine was going to buy this pistol and he was out of town so I took a couple of photos to show him what a Ruger 44 mag looks like. It was intended to look just like it is. I am not sellng pistols just photographing them and this was a nice clean pistol.

As a photograph it sure looks like an ad from the "Pennysaver". I am not positive what Your intentions were, to sell this weapon or to photograph it in an interesting way? The gun honestly lacks the dynamics as it is resting flat on a piece of fabric. I am not here to tell You how to shoot, I am only expressing my opinion. Shooting close-ups is always a challenge, because the devil is in details and in a close-up the details show very well. I would remove any smudge marks like those on the trigger before taking this picture and experiment with different lighting and color gels. There is nothing wrong with trying and failing. Best luck on Your next shoot.
