So, let me get this right -- you "shoot" your photos with a scanner? How very creative. I guess the only thing that counts is the end result and you certainly have a portfolio of amazing, creative images. I picked this one out because 1) I love flower pics and 2) this one glows with wonderful lighting. I'm always hesitant to shoot flowers in black and white but when you can get such a nice range of tones, capture such wonderful petal texture and light the composition in such a way as to emulate natural light I say skip the color.

Two thoughts occur to me.
First, the effect is the same as if they were backlit by the sun - which I always love.
Second, you must have wonderfull still hands - no blurring!!
