looks good for lunch, I remember my last trip around the mountains with my uncle last week and what we had for lunch along the road.. no fish and chips.. just crackers, cheese, sardines and sweet potatoes that we bought along the road. well this looks good enough to satisfy the hunger..
thanks for sharing Jen. You didn't bring any coffee with you..

Hello Jen. You are mean. Im trying to stay away from that sought of food. And you put up this very clear and detailed shot of it with the sea in the background. Lolll...yes its always a delicasy, for me too, just sit there at the edge and enjoying the seaside with my fish and chips, hmmmmmmmm;))
In that opinion I stay a child I suppose...just like KFC, really delicious!!
Just had my yougurt with cruesli as breakfast and lunch, should be enough for my trip, on my way now to the sea......maybe having some chips there...:)))

Dat klinkt gezond Riny, hoe oud zijn je kinderen? Mijn dochter zou het ook wel eens per week willen, maar doe ik maar niet, want dan eet ik echt zelf mee, helaas is ze ook
dol op Mac maar dat hou ik maar helemaal af....:)
Verder sport mijn dochter zoveel dat er ook geen gram aankomt, terwijl ze wel wat zou kunnen gebruiken, heel gezond eten gaat hier niet altijd op, zijn vaak laat thuis etc. Melk vindt ze helemaal nikx, yoghurt gelukkig wel, maar 't blijft een strijd:)) Fijne dag, liefs Jen

 ...I like french fries too,but not to often too much calories...LOL!!!Here we love them with Mayo..ok children like them with both together:))!! But you are right fish and chips is so GREAT!!!!Great capture my dear and it makes me hungry..LOL!!!It's already lunchtime...but NO french fries today!! I will make asparagus with sauce hollandaise and a steak!!!

Moet wel toegeven jen dat mijn kinderen 1 keer in de week patat eet,ze zij er dol op!! welke kind niet he..? en de rest van de week ,I give them balanced meals with a grain product (usually pasta or bread), meat (usually turkey), fruits (usually bananas or strawberries), and a glass of milk or a yogurt.Doeiiiiiiiii,riny

Okokok you get your ketchup my dear, thats more commen then mayo, couldnt find that there, like in many other countries;( But the ravigotte is lovely as well, just anything greasy;)))
The can, good question, have to think about that...the littercan?

Mayonnaise is very popular in Holland and in particularly in Belgium where - it should be noted that "patat" (BE - "frietjes" in NL) or were first created.
The preferred mayo brands are generally Calv� or Remia, but suffice to say they're a little sweeter and a little eggier-yellow than Hellman's. Still - damn good, but it only forms the foundation for your typical serving of frites:
* Patat met: "met" means "with", synonymous with Mayo
* Patat speciaal: with mayo and diced onions
* Patat met pindasaus: with slightly-salty peanut sauce on the other (think any thick thai peanut sauce)
* Patat Oorlog: fries with mayo on one side and pindasauce on the other (my fav)
* Patat Joppiesaus - a kind of a mayo/pickle "secret-sauce" clone. Feh.
* Patat Stoofvlees - with mayo and a seasoned ground-meat on top. Don't ask what kind of meat it is - no-one knows.
Always fry your potatoes in peanut oil, at a high heat, and do it twice - that's the belgian way. First to the point where the edges begin to take color, then dump them out and let them rest a few minutes, then return them to the hot oil to crisp-up. The belgians can't make roads, manufacture cars or keep airlines running, but they do food brilliantly. groetjes,riny

Lolollll my dear John, you're a healthy young man, how can this be forbidden:)) Its fresh fish AND fresh chips, just the ravigotte sauce might be a bit greasy...ehehehe;)) And the sea makes hungry, even staring at it, the most beautiful spot to eat a delicious meal.....hmmmm..hungry yet?? απολαύστε το γεύμα σας ;))) hugs Jenxx
