Grappige woordspeling in je titel Jen. is dit dan een scheepskerkhof of gaan ze ginds niet erg zorgzaam met hun gerief om? Mooi in beeld gebracht! Fijne dag nog,

Hoping you didnt really count the masts..lolll The late sun made it all more soft and like natural colours...its funny how some shots stay in mind.. About the aspects, as I wrote above indeed I wasnt sure how to handle this one, somehow I wanted to keep it square...and didnt want it half half, didnt know to cut the wood off, I think I was sitting there low....it crossed my mind to take off, but and didnt want just a static shot, soooooo...have been thinking a lot about it:))
The sky is indeed very dull but also making it more quiet against all the strong colours, it wouldnt have been great with moody clouds, I loved the contrast and as a square it...welll..you might have been so right, now more confused even...lolll I did suggest it myself at the top already, me doubting soul:)) Hope I can sleep on this...you sleep well, night! xxJen

Had the same here, my camera isnt good enough, wishing I had a better one as well:) Those colours looked amazing with the sunlight on them, rust is something strange, iron and oxigan, salt and water...you get these very different layers of rust...but nothing new for you:)) Thanks a lot and sleep well, Jen

Isnt it amazing what rust can do to iron...dont know what will happen, nothing I think at the end....Its a country with no infra structure, no good road, very bad kept old Dutch colony, left behind...nothing to be proud of, lots of poorness too! Hope you slept well dear, have a great day, I will go now:)) big hugs from niecie Jenxx

Thanks a lot dear Matteo, the sea is something unexspected, never know what happens with water, boats are part of it, cruel how th salt touches the iron, but giving it beautiful colours in stead! This was afternoon, watching the sun and having this breeze, glass of wine...mmmmm...will dream on that;)) Sleep well, xxJen

Six boats and ... 132 masts! There's a lovely light here that enhances the tone of the rust. The boats make for a very attractive composition.
There are two aspects I'm wondering about:
First of all, I find the straight thing in the foreground a little harsh and intrusive. With water below it, I can't quite work it out. Perhaps you could crop the water at the bottom, or maybe even all the way up to the top of the quay (if that's what it is).
Second is the sky. There's a lot of it and it's a rather dull grey. Now, if you crop off the bottom as suggested above, the sky comes into its own and offsets the colours of the boats. Alternatively, if you leave the quay in at the bottom, you might consider cropping off some of the sky.
AJ
