Hey Megan you have kept the moment. Excellent composition, excellent use of the lens.Alesandro.
"Walking the wilde side" is a hard ridge that connect the east side of Punta Gnifetti or Signal Kuppe of Monte Rosa with the Locce glasser on "Macugnaga" side of the Mountain.
East side of Monte Rose has a wall of 2000 meters high, each ways is very difficult + "TD+" or more, I climbed for 7 hours in order to arrive where I shotted the photo. Punta Gnifetti is 4459 meters above the sea level high, there is also a not hard way called "normal"; it strts from Algna Val Sesia and in two days you can climb the mountain: 1? day you go to Gnifetti refuge three hours of walk from sky station; you sleep in the refuge (3696 mt.) and 2? days you go the the Punta Gnifetti 5 hours. In the afternoon you came back to Algna 7 hours. There are not very alpinistical difficult but you have to know high mountain and alpinistic tecnic, you can also engaded an alpine guide in Alagna.

Wow megan, this is great. How ever did you get so close?
Dof & lighting's spot-on with catchlights even!, & the textures of grass, fluff & water offset each other nicely. As the grass is such a pretty colour compared to the water, do you think a more grass/less water ratio would be better? Just a thought.

This is a wonderful image. Such great colors. And sharp. Did you use the USM on this picture?. Great water colors in the background. Don.

After trying to shoot living balls of fluff like these I know it's not an easy task, but I must say that you did wonderfully! Usually I don't care to see the water line cut through any part of the body with shots similar to this, but for some reason it just seems to fit here. It does seem a bit dark to me and I would love to see the one duck turned a bit more so his backside isn't to the camera, but otherwise a wonderful job.
