About Fort Grey, or The Cup and Saucer, as most locals know it, sits on top of a rock off the west coast of Guernsey. The difficulty in this photograph is in waiting for a balance of light between the evening sky and the floodlit white 'cup'. The calm pastel tones and flat sea make for a serene and peaceful image. I wish the tide had been a little higher, but that can't be helped. It gives me an excuse to go back again soon.
