Indeed this is the way I also think about such things. Such a flower *is* already perfect and it doesn't need any kind of additional "artistic work" - whatever that could mean in such a case. And so the work of the photographer is to carry the message as perfectly and as unaltered as it can get. For me the real job in such cases is to catch that message and pass it on to anybody listening. But this is also many many times the hardest job to do, I guess ;-)

It is really very nice Nick!
When I stare at this bloom, sometimes I see a photograph impersonating a painting. Or is that a painting impersonating a photograph?
The title has an almost double meaning in that respect. I understand your about too. Sometimes I feel funny about taking praise for a nice image, when I realize, I am just the messenger. :)
