Thanks a lot for the info, Fabio. Well, that means not only "filtering" but also what I consider much much much more important, namely a decent *composing*. The layers simply created a very distinct look that certainly didn't travel to the usual realms of "add as much as possible". One has to "perceive" first the resulting look more or less in mind before perceiving it purely visually.

Cheers,

Nick

How in world did you manage to do that, Fabio? Only a shot of reflections or also additional PS work? Anyway, it is a stunning image!

Here we get a good opportunity to see what creativity means, namely much more than mixing up all the unknowledge about camera and photo manipulation that the too many "creators" use to produce images that are only the manifesting incapability. Here I can see vision, I can see the power of mind that generates images before they are implemented on any kind of carrying medium. It's the very powerful word of "Vorstellungsvermögen" in German, of which I unfortunately can't find any good translation into English!

Enough details to make it tangible and still not really an image that could be simply shot like piece of cake. The face seems to be captured in time, or even better it seems to be ripped out of time and put into some illogical surrounding that nonetheless conveys a very tangible existence - it is not simply "some imaginary scene" as the many sharp details will readily say.

I wonder now if giving the face more space on the image could result into an even stronger impression, but still the strength of impression is high enough. As also the "Vorstellungsvermögen" must have been.

Cheers,

Nick
