Looks like we both had a break!! Like this one. The balcony rails make a good leading set of lines. While the centrality isn't my cuppa joe . . . there's no real wy to crop to change it. The best alternative in such a situation (in my opinion, humble yet genius though it may be - LoL!) is to try to get the focal bird (great clarity BTW) into its own quadrant . . . example attached (shocker, eh?)!
It's a very cool shot, my friend . . . and it's more cool that it means you're back. Luckily the comments here make it clear better than I could how you've been missed. :)

Great to see you back Michele. You have returned with a superb image too. The railings leading diagonally in to the seagull, the other seagulls flying around in the background with the surf and dramatic sky are all great stuff. You've even worked in the relevance of your absence and indecision as to stay very nicely. I think you should stay.
