I really don't have a lot of stuff, I just made sure that what I did get was good. Almost all of my stuff is MAC.
a few brushes, from the big fluffy ones to small detail ones.
some pads for applying concealers and a base
brown and black eyeliner
mascara
several different shades of lipstick, eyeshadow, blush, concealer, foundation etc
remover
just make sure that what you get isn't junk. rather buy one good brush than two crappy ones...

Your comment strikes home!
- Good makeup artists are in demand, therefore seldom work for free
- Too many models only know how to apply makeup the same way they do each morning
- I'm a Drama major with training in makeup
I guess I need to make an investment in a makeup kit, as I currently have nothing. What would you suggest as a minimal kit?

thank you... I started doing makeup about 3 yrs ago when my girlfriend and I split. she was a makeup artist, and I quickly got tired of hiring one...
