About One of the few photos for which I used a flaslight. I guess that it should be a bit less exposure for getting better contours of the center region of the flower. I'd be glad for any comment.

Deep in the woods, somewhere

Mixing up the entities

The road under the railway

Copied

Autumn on the rock

The holy alien machinery of damnation and death

Autumn color palette

Starting the day in the night

The great still

For some miles more

I also think that this worked well as a floral macro, Gustavo. I only wished that the petals were a bit less glossy.

Thanks again!

Indeed, the flashlight made the petals look quite "glossy" because of the strong glare. It was exactly such images that made me also turn to such less strong light for flowers after trying out the flash. With a flash much of the texture of the petals disappears under a very "smooth and glossy" look and the flower gets some kind of plastic look.

Hi Nick,
Like we were talking about a couple of weeks ago with the tulip images, A flash will sometimes show quite a lot of glare off the petals. You have a little here, but not too much. I still think the best way to go is natural light with florals. Especially on a damp, overcast morning.
