This was done with a 'Lab Color' technique in Photoshop CS2,it gives more contrast than the 'Channel Mixture'.I think you can download a 30 day trial version from Adobe.com. I saw rave reviews for Photoshop Elements 6.0 plus it cost much less. If you can get PS CS,I would be pleased to show you the 'Lab Color' Take care Robbie

Fantastic contrast and tonal range Robert. There is a lot of depth and shadow play. Very moody , this reminds me of a great poem "The Waste Land" by T. S. Eliot..
Filled all the desert with inviolable voice And still she cried, and still the world pursues, Were told upon the walls; staring forms Leaned out, leaning, hushing the room enclosed. Footsteps shuffled on the stair. Under the firelight, Spread out in fiery points Glowed into words..... .... Love your work dear Robert.. Have a wonderful weekend.. parehan

It may be a dead tree Robbie but the mood is still alive and appears protective IMHO ..
I love the way it branches out and touches a part of all that is living as it reaches still to the sky - Excellent composition and tones...I Really, really , like this one very much.
Best wishes, Michele~

Nicely composed scene, Robbie, with the dead tree and Spanish Moss contrasting with the surrounding foliage. The IR work adds interest and very good sky, too. Dave.

Excellent shot, very dramatic Robert, that tree really scares me a lot...as you use the dark side of it and with so strong contrast with its background, makes me...believe that trying to...catch me with its hand's like brunches! :-) Excellent!!!
