About	I saw this on the sidewalk one cold morning, It appeared almost dead but was still crawling. I have never seen an insect what appeared to have hair. I think it must be a bee since it has wings even though it did not appear to be able to move them in it's weakened state. Experimenting with my camera I took this picture only 3 inches from the insect. Maybe that is why only the front part is in focus. It was too cold to stay and experiment with different settings and I am not very skilled at knowing what settings would work best..

You got a nice macro of him, Del, and yes that would be the reason your dof is so limited, assuming the macro setting and probably a large f-stop.
