Thanks a lot for the good advice, Newfman J. I definately want to see the rugged coastline and if only it had been later on the year it would have been wonderful going deep into the temperated rainforest. It´s just that I have heard that they have closed roads there due to snow at the end of March.
I might see Seattle, but in general I don´t fancy big cities. I go to be in nature.
Oh yes I will definately take so many photos that everyone on UF will get fed up with my images*LOL*
THanks again:-)

I'm sure you'll receive much more useful information from others about the area, from my week long visit I can offer must-sees of Mt. Rainier National Park, Mt. St. Helen's, North Cascades NP (Diablo Lake) and of course I reason for my trip...Olympic National Park where you can visit the Pacific coastal shore (La Push area/Rialto Beach)the temperate Hoh Rainforest and alpine Hurricane Ridge region within the same afternoon! I recommend the Port Angeles area for home base if taking in Olympic NP, the peninsula population (and it's services) is....sparse at best. Tacoma for points south, Seattle if you need busy. The Public Market of Seattle is a must-see! And the people are nice, so enjoy yourself Viking!!! I expect to see lots of photographs when you get back...-john

Very nice shot for an HDR... I tried this with the last full moon without very good results...John. But I used more than two shots, and the result was too much ghosting/movement of the moon... I will have to try it with two shots like yours and see what happens. Great pink lgow you got!

Best wishes and I wish you happy holidays, whatever kind they may be!

Oh, is this from Washington State? I´m going there in three months. Are there places of natural beauty that I must see?
I want to see a part of the rugged coastline, but where I don´t know and I also want to see part of the temperated rainforest. I just don´t know any exact points that are worth visiting. Maybe you know, Newfman J?

Hi John

Hurricane Ridge... Awesome scenery, A pity I had to miss it after stopping at Lake Cresent, leaving from Neah Bay to Port Angeles.... I like the depth in this photo. A fine photo!

Cheers,

Hugo
