The subject matter here is great, but I feel the composition is lacking. You have amazing focal clarity on the two flamingos and awesome clarity on the eye. The placement and the crop are the serious issues. Tough to do, I know! The DOF and BG, as well as the exposure are spot on! If only the birds would cooperate! This shows some serious quality on the hard settings of camera and I think once you have the composition down you'll be shooting masterpieces. Incidentally, I darkened your BG to see how the shot would look if the flamingos were more accented . . . like my early morning rain on the flamingos shot recently. It looks great (and is attached). Looking forward to more of your work! :)
