From my balcony. A couple of mornings ago. Had not slept all night and was about to do my disappearing vampire act (to bed), when for but a few moments in time, a golden glow appeared. I am not used to digitial cameras. I am fortunate that Colin Porter (a friend who lives nearby and is also in UF), occasionally leaves me one of his digital cameras to play with. This happened to be one of those occasions. I had a camera I hardly know how to use at the ready. No time for a tripod, this had to be shot immediately, so I know it is not perfectly sharp, having been hand held at 0.3sec.
Please feel free to comment. I am already aware it is not a great image. It is the sun... it is the branches of trees... it is danger for the coming summer months, with these branches thickly entwined and so close to my house, waiting for the bushfires to come and catch them alight... It is almost abstract. It is the cluttered view from my window (which is but a few feet from outside on my narrow balcony...) But it appeals to me in certain way. How do you feel about it? Any comments are graciously received if they are constructive. :)
Yes, it is more or less a snap shot. You would have been in hysterics watching me trying to figure out how to use the alien digital camera! :) :) :) LOL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I grabbed a couple more shots of different "things" that morning. I am currently (before going back to bed as I am not well... but tired of the "view" of my bedroom... lol..) looking at anything that might be "interesting" from that early morning shoot, to post. I have found something that has rather surprised me, by merely looking at the image with auto levels! Now it looks most unusual. Nothing at all like the "real" colours, but I like it!!! :) I shall post it soon, if I am up to it.
And perhaps later, or tomorrow, another couple of shots of a tree i have that I cannot remember the name of, but when the leaves appear in spring, they are at first pink, changing slowly to orange and then to green! I have a few images, but am tired to downsize them right now.
I appreciate your comments, my friend... always. Thank you.
Quite lovely for a quick 'grabshot', dear Aniko, and a well composed natural abstract. I can see how the beautiful golden light would grab your attention.
