Taken at the railway station of St. Gallen from the train window while sitting in the train and waiting for the departure. Somehow it seemed to me that being only exposed to electric lights and almost never to natural sunlight was creating the same kind of "burning" to the eyes like when having fever - when being sick. So I tried to capture this kind of view of the city in the night. This shot was the best approach despite (or perhaps *because* of?) the fuzzy reflections on the inner side of the window.
Thank you very much for the detailed comment, Shyamal, that made clear to me what I find good on this image! Until now I was really wondering why I like it despite those reflections. And indeed it is that kind of "scary" or unpleasant look that I find expressive.
i think the fizzy reflections are important to this image, they cast a gloom over the scene that would not be there otherwise, and they add to the surreality of this place. It almost appears a little scary, like I would not want to be part of it, but I want to keep looking.
