I agree with what you say about digital increasing your interest and involvement in photography dramatically. I never have to look in the freezer and say "do we have any film left?" I used to store packs of Kodachrome 25 there in case we ever ran out, but instead it has become obsolete. Now with digital post I can achieve the same values that I lost with Kodachrome. And explore far beyond with PhotoShop.

The toning is very well balanced, Dave! The retained color on the sunglasses gives a bit more "punch" to it. A bit problematic on the top-right of her head/hair but otherwise a very good separation from the background. As a composition, perhaps a bit too usual, but technically very well made.

Really a great shot, with super effects in it. Your grand daughter's pose and expression, the reflection in the sun glasses, and the colour in them make it a really great shot.
