About Flor nacional de Paraguay. Se le conoce también como "Pasionaria, Flor de la Pasión, Clavos de Cristo, Murcuyá, Ñorbo..." Es originaria de Sudamerica tropical. Fué introducida en Europa a final del S XVII. Su fruto es comestible, dulce, ligeramente ácido pero muy fragante, sus hojas y flores se usan en infusiones y preparados medicinales.
