About This scene just begged to to be recorded on film, however it was a very bright afternoon, the harsh light burnt out lots of detail including the sky and the tree limbs that were in the direct sun light. I bracketed 3 shots and this was the best for detail. I have tried in PS to enhance the image and still keep the overall balance and contrast. I would like to do this shot again at a different time of the day, but I suspect I wouldn't get the reflections or the colours in the water.

I agree with the comments on the light. A part from this it's a nice photo.
Bye,Luca
PS: if you have a darker picture from the braketing, you could try superimpose it with this one in photoshop. I never did this sort of things but it is said to work well. There are tutorials online

Hi Colin - a great job considering the lighting conditions we have to contend with - Great reflections - good composition! Regards!

Nice reflection but the harsh lighting has spoiled the overall. Definitely a place to sit and wait and wait and wait until the light is just right. Do you have the filter adaptor from Canada on your 5700? Makes a big difference with a Circular Polarizer.

It is possible to select the highlights and make them darker. It is also possible to clone out the hot spot on the right of the photo. It takes some minutes on your computer. The rest of the photo is good, the reflection is exceptional.
