Just to show you this noiseware program, I ran your photo through it quickly... I'm sure other settings in the program might work better but I didn't take the time to play with it.

After fixing the noise, I also ran it through unsharp mask...

Very nice shot, Gabriele. Lots of noise, though. Might want to try to download a copy of Noiseware Professional edition, excellent noise program.

Also, with our Canons... at a lower ISO, you'll eliminate lots of noise, too. I try and shoot 100 ISO. I've learned my lessons about shooting at 1600.

Just trying to be helpful, no offense meant.
