Great catch Dave, I've never seen a capture by a dragonfly but sure would like to get a shot of one. This shot looks real sharp and the lighting is nice. Good one.

The minimal DoF on the front of the insect supports very well the title - dealing with death, and life too. The danger of death is enhanced for my eyes through the "deadly" red of the insect on attack for pray, but perhaps both wings should be in focus?
