Yes You are right it is just a round screw on polorizing filter.... and I value your ideas as I always have.... I don't know about a Hoya + holder yet - ha!! but always glad to know there are 2 kinds :))

Nice shot and I guess I have to say 'Thanks' for getting that song stuck in my head! LoL.
The polarizing filter (I am assuming) is a spherical - screw on and not a squared Hoya + holder? Note that there are two kinds . . . usually . . . you can rotate the filter without unscrewing it . . . as the angle does make a difference. Nicely done but with the detail as silhouetted as it is . . . your solar flare at a higher F/stop might have done you better as a series of rays. (Just a thought on how to improve an otherwise very well done shot).

Thank you my friend!We have a big carnival in town,we have it all years at this time and it means that summer is nearly over.It's about 3 weeks and a lot of fun for kids and adults.You meet people that you haven't seen for a while.It's always nice!!!

You are right about the silhouettes in the middle part...with a 5.6 aperture I cannot get a good quality for that I checked.....
I was trying several different settings but this one came out best ...just not exactly right :))

Did You know it was a movie here in the US as well (?)... a very good movie ... The song played in it a lot..
I just got home from working - Oh my gosh until our 'Labor Day week-end ' it is a killer of activity but just one more week and it wil end :)) I am not as fast nor do I care for the crowds as much as I used to , BUT the $$$$ I still like :)) LOL!!
X-tra for camera supplies & a new zoom lens maybe , Yahoo !!!!!!!!!

ok...at the middle area there are not so well in quality the silhouettes, but that is something minor that also could be because of the sharpness of the upload page of the site...

Hi Michele, I guess I was hasty by blurting out an immediate correction when maore analyzing would be more helpful. The important thing about using polarizers is to use the correct angle to the sun. I can't give you all the answers in a few sentenses so I would suggest that you go to a good camera store and pickup an instruction sheet which will give you all of the correct info. Good luck. BILL

Sea of love is a song that I adore, MIchele! I heard it maybe two years ago and I´ve been thinking of it ever since. There is something melancholic about that song and also about this seascape and the people that seem to enjoy the last light and warmth of the summer.

Hi Michele, I like the composition of this photo but I feel that it needs some brightening up by the use of a polarizing filter. This would darken the blue sky and toned down some of the reflection on the water. Just a suggestion. BILL NAGY
