Good to see there is still some traditional like left in this part of Spain, and your image is very evocative. Your explanation to Armando is quite important, though, I think, so as not to create the wrong impression. The look on the man's face does suggest he cares about the donkey, but you must admit, the donkey looks absolutely shattered!

Many thanks for your consolatory answer. I thought that the mule or donkey, could be victim of maltreatments. I love the animals.

Nothing 'poor' about Platero( donkey's name),he's well-fed and in excellent health!After two hours of ploughing the olive grove,together with other donkeys and mules, he lay down while his owner sang a flamenco lament and then stood up.I assure you Armando,he hasn't been the victim of harsh treatment-I'd be the first to complain!
