Thanks a lot again, Ahmed! Well, SOlothurn has also its not very scenic parts but a bit of care to not let them appear on the image can enhance the illusion of a place that is only scenic. The old city is (as always) very nice and photogenic, as is a big part of the river banks.
The tower that looks as if it have been sliced, is again the result of the wide angle that I used. It enhances perpective but it also generates such unusual looks through "compressing" and "expanding" depths and lines.
Considering the two bridges, now I see that I should also try a closer zoom of them. I as so concentrated on the way in the front that I reduced the interesting background to... simple background. OK, next time.
Thanks a lot for the nice comment and for making me notice something more about what is goinf on here, Dave!
Very nice composition! Solothurn seems to be a very scenic place. I notice the interesting building on the other side which looks as if sliced in half. Beautiful shot Nick! Regards, Ahmed
