About This is a picture of my lovely wife Janhavee shot in december 1997, in Bangalore (India). I made use of the sun light coming thru the window. No Flash was used, the Kodak 800 ISO was sufficient for proper exposure..... well your verdict please......

Comment to those of you who said image is Soft.. Yes.. i applied the image which i raised the sharpness levels thru a software called "neatImage" to remove grain.. and as a result the image got a little soft.. And I actually liked the results and posted it anyway..

Good composition. But i'd prefer more light on the right.

Lovely composition, good use of light. In a way the softness compliments your wife, and the lines in the window counter this nicely.

hi, Subha, your image is nice (as your wife is); I only wonder if you could have got an even better result by lightening the deep shadow on the model's left side of the face, possibly using a reflective surface. Mild softness of the pic and delicate hues are great. regards - marco

Not bad, room for imporvement. More contrast would be nice..and i think she should be sharper..maybe a closer crop.

Kodak 800 has a lot of grain. Sharpened, the grain is more visible (unless you use a high threshold level, and not too high Amount and Radius). Too much NI removes the grain AND sharpness, unless you use good settings and first of all a good Noise Filter Setting. You can have good results, all is a matter of settings. Photo not rated by me.

response.. to comments by Aiman, and Judy.. I did get a good scan, and sharpened the image using SuperJPG.. however the image turned out to be grainy.. so i used NeatImage software to remove the grain.. as the filtering takes place the overall image becomes soft.. hope this explains..

Beautiful lady and nice lighting. I would crop the top off down to just above her head for better composition. Don.
