The light here seems a little harsh, like maybe this was taken during the peak daylight hours. With softer light and longer shadows you could have a really interesting image here. The framing is great I just think to do this image justice the light needs to be perfect.

Interesting tree stump ronald. It seems to be a bit light in some places and dark in others. I find a focal point hard to locate. You're still my hero though. Good work.

Well done Ronald. A good abstract work. Perchaps needs more sharpness because the clarity don't looks 100% great. Excellent lighting suport nicely the texture of the wood.

Ronald,

Thanks for inviting me to see your portfolio. Your works (i) Waiting for Public Transportation- a good attempt in available light, but what I feel, has some lack of contrast; (ii) Selling Apple and Oranges- is a bold and good approach indeed, but here also feel some lack of contrast and brightness, perhaps needs some repairment on PS; (iii) Merry-go-round- expressive and well attempted candid; (iv) A Face from the Phollipines- is a well captured candid as well as a nice portrait. I do not want to comment on your picture made without camera(!), yes the painting like thing.

Anyway, Phillipines is a nice country with plenty of photo-opportunity, so far I know by books and other medias. Go shoot people and their everyday life style. And by the by record other things also what you see. May be these are very usual and common but try to see it in different way and angle. As light is the main source of seeing, feel free to exploit it thru dawn to dusk and vice versa.

Hope to see your more and more new works in future. I'll keep a watch on your site. Thanks again.
