Perfect shot Ben, I like this kind of emotional photographs. If the blue sky couldn't be seen, I would think this was quite a B/W photograph. Very nice work.

very interesting shot ben. I agree with those whose say it would be alot better if you could have really brought out the colour of sky in the water. Its just a bit dull, but its still really good. well done.

as ben knows, i took this same photograph myself (i was with him), but from the other side of the boat, and i have to say, his turned out better. great work ben, i'm impressed! i agree with conrad, this picture does almost look black and white. you might consider using a polarizer to make the blue more dramatic or strengthening the color of the sky and the water with photoshop.

Great lines and tones Ben. Did you consider cropping the top left hand corner off at all. It really cayches your eye and takes away from the main subject. The combination of the water is a good connection to the canoe, a nice touch.
